Second Annual Maryland Baseball Golf Classic Slated for Friday, Sept. 9
June 14, 2005 COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Terp fans, make plans now to attend the second annual University of Maryland Baseball Golf Classic! This year's event will be held Friday, Sept. 9 beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the University of Maryland Golf Course. This year's event features a number of tournament contests, including closest-to-the-pin and longest drive, plus a chance to win a car with a hole in one! A pair of season tickets to both the 2005-06 Maryland men's and women's basketball home games will be raffled, with the drawings slated for Oct. 22. An auction featuring sports memorabilia and golf outings also will be held. The entry fee of $200 per person or $750 per foursome includes an embroidered golf shirt, golf balls, tournament cap, barbecue chicken and rib buffet, and snacks and drinks on the course. Registration forms, which can be found on the link below, should be returned no later than Sept. 2. All proceeds benefit the University of Maryland baseball program.
