Terps Face In-State Foes In Midweek Action; Game At UMBC Moved Up

April 16, 2007

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland baseball team squares off against two in-state rivals this week, as they visit UMBC Tuesday before hosting Maryland-Eastern Shore on Wednesday night. Tuesday's game at UMBC has been moved to a 4 p.m. start time due to facility issues. Both games can be heard live on WMUC Sports.

UMBC SERIES HISTORY

Maryland leads all-time 28-13-1 (.679). On April 3, the Terps defeated UMBC 9-0 at Shipley Field in College Park. Last season, the two teams did not meet. In 2005, they split the season series, with Maryland taking the first game 8-6 before falling 7-9 a week later.

UMES SERIES HISTORY

Maryland leads all-time 33-1 (.971). Last year, the Terps swept the Hawks in a doubleheader on May 10, 5-1 and 3-2. The Terps have not lost to UMES since March 29, 1995, a 11-4 Hawks victory in College Park.
