Terps Welcome Coppin State for Final ACC Tune-up

March 4, 2008

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland baseball team plays Coppin State at 4 p.m. Thursday at Shipley Field in the final non-conference game before the beginning of weekend Atlantic Coast Conference play.

After a 1-3 start, the Terps enter the contest at 4-4 after taking three of four games last weekend from Hofstra, including a doubleheader sweep Saturday.

The Eagles come in winless at 0-8, following an 0-44 campaign a year ago.

The Terps lead the all-time series 34-1, including two wins last season.

Maryland tied a program record with 25 hits in a 27-0 win against the Eagles March 14 last season. On March 28 last year, the Terps had five players combine on a no-hitter in a 12-0 win.

There is no price for admission as all weekday games are free. WMUC will broadcast the game live at WMUCsports.com.
