GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Maryland baseball season opened today with a doubleheader against the UNCG Spartans. The Terps dropped both games, 5-2 and 8-2.

In the first game, Maryland managed only five hits and scored in the fifth and ninth innngs. In the second game, the score was tied 2-2 when the Spartans scored six times in the bottom of the eighth. The Terps and Spartans conclude the three-game series tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.
