As a Junior (2002): A valuable position player on the Terps roster, he saw action in a career-high 38 games

As a Redshirt Sophomore (2001): Showed vast improvement at the plate by hitting a career-best .282 ... played in 36 games, making 27 starts ... recorded seven multi-hit games ... went 2-for-5 with a run scored and double March 11 vs. Virginia Commonwealth ... 2-for-4 with a run scored March 17 at home vs. Clemson ... blasted three doubles and went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs at UMBC ... had his first multi-home run game vs. North Carolina April 6 at Shipley Field ... hit two homers as he went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored vs. the Tar Heels ... the pair of long balls were the first career ACC home runs for Gemmill ... 1-for-4 with two RBIs April 9 at Kansas State ... 2-for-4 with two singles April 13 at NC State ... had an outstanding series at home vs. Florida State by hitting .556 over the three-game set ... had his best game of his career by going 3-for-4 with three doubles and two runs scored and two RBIs May 5 vs. the Seminoles.
As a Sophomore (2000): A medical hardship season ... batted .238 with one homer and four RBI in eight games, five of which he started.
As a Freshman (1999): Started off the season by going 3-for-4 in the series against Elon Feb. 13-14
went 2-for-5 with two RBI against UNC-Greensboro on Feb. 20
hit a double and scored twice against UNC-Asheville on March 24
hit a grand slam against Howard on April 6
went 2-for-4 against Florida State on May 9
smacked a two-run double against Towson on May 11
drew two walks and scored a run against Wake Forest on May 15.
At Paint Branch: Named the All-Met Player of the Year as a senior by the Washington Post
named all-county by the Montgomery Journal his junior and senior years
batted .667 his senior year, with 10 home runs and 46 RBI
hit .462 his junior year, with four home runs and 25 RBI
