The Terps' cheerleading teams will host a camp this summer.

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The National Championship Terps' competitive cheer team will hold cheer camps August 8-11 at University of Maryland. Members of the 2008 National Championship team, members of the spirit squad and coaches from both teams will help to work the camps.

The camps are open for kids ages 5-18. Campers will learn gymnastic techniques, stunt sequences and fun dances and motions. Registration is open now.

The camps will be run by Jarnell Bonds, head coach of the two-time national champion competitive cheer team, Carlos Munoz, assistant coach of the competitive cheer team, Jamie Little, head coach of the spirit squad, and Scott Welsh, head coach of Maryland's Gymkana Troupe. Current members and alumni of the competitive cheer team and spirit squad will also help to run the camp.
