Hey everyone,
It's Friday already, the day of FINALS! Yesterday we competed in the preliminary round and saw our competition for the first time. Everything from stretching to warming up to competing was indescribable. I can't say that I wasn't nervous, but it was more excited nerves. From the moment we got to the competition to the moment we stepped off the mat, eyes were always on us. Our routine started out so strong, but towards the end we had a mistake. We recovered for the dance. Even though we had a rough patch, we finished second, which is a good spot to be in going into finals. We ended our day with a banquet dinner, remembering the year and thinking about what we have to do for finals. We compete tonight and I can't wait to compete in the band shell overlooking the ocean for the first time!
