Competitive Cheer wins American Masters.

Competitive Cheer wins American Masters.

Feb. 7, 2005

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland Competitive Cheer squad won its seventh consecutive competition this weekend at the American Masters in Baltimore. This competition marks the first of a string of highly competitive meets the team will attend this season.

The win can be attributed to one of the most flawless performances yet. "They hit everything", said coach Lura Fleece. The team's strong tumbling augmented the overall performance.

There is little time to bask in the glory of their championship as the squad looks ahead to this weekend's North American Open in New Orleans, where they will face University of Alabama and Northern Illinois University.
