Laura Chiriaco Hometown: Gaithersburg, Md. Last College: Maryland Position: Volunteer Assistant Coach Experience: 3nd Season

Laura Chiriaco returns for her third season as the Volunteer Assistant Coach for the Terps and her seventh year overall with the competitive cheer program.

As a four year student-athlete on the team, she helped to earn three national championships in her sophomore, junior and senior years and a top-two finish in her freshman year. A two-year captain for the Terrapins, she brings strong leadership experience to the team and great knowledge to the emerging sport.

Chiriaco currently teaches Language Arts at Hamilton Elementary Middle School in Baltimore, where she also coaches the cheerleading team. She is currently a Corps member for Teach for America.
