Placed 8th at ACC Outdoor at 48-3.25 and 6th at the ECAC Outdoor at 48-2.50... Won Kehoe Twilight shot event at 48-0.50... Was 37th at the NCAA East Prelims at 46-8.75... Had Terps' best hammer mark with 184-4 to win the Kehoe Twilight meet... Placed 5th at the ACC Outdoor in the hammer at 180-6... Was 5th in the College Section of the Penn Relays at 172-10... Won the Maryland Invitational at 172 4 and was 11th at the ECAC Outdoor at 171-5... Placed 41st in the hammer at the NCAA East Prelims at 168-0.

2011 INDOOR TRACK - Maryland's best six marks of the season in the shot put were hers... Season-best came in her first meet of indoor season at the Nittany Lion Challenge where she was 2nd at 46-0.75... Placed 11th at the ACC Indoor at 45-9... Won the Terrapin Indoor with a put of 45-3... Also had a 46-0.50 at the N.Y. Armory... Had Terps' second-best mark in the weight throw of 58-2.25 at her second Armory appearance, placing 2nd... Was 2nd at the Nittany Lion Challenge weight throw at 57-9 and won the Terrapin Indoor at 55-9... Placed 12th at the ACC Indoor at 54-5.25.

2010 OUTDOOR TRACK - Had Terps' best eight marks of the season in the shot put... Scored at the ACC Outdoor Championships with her season-best of 47-0.25, earning her 5th... Mark was also a qualifier for the ECAC Outdoor, where she was 8th at 45-10.50... Won the Kehoe Twilight meet at 45-5.25... Placed 11th at the Penn Relays with 44-6 toss... Also competed in the hammer, with her best mark of 158-8 also coming at the ACC Championships, where she was 9th... Third at Kehoe Twilight meet at 156-9 and 3rd at the Mason Spring Invitational at 153-0.

2010 INDOOR TRACK - Had Terps' best marks of the season in the shot put and 20-pound weight throw... Best shot put mark of the season came with 46-3.25 to place 6th at the ACC Indoor Championships and post 8th-best mark at Maryland... Won the Terrapin Indoor Invitational (42-5.50)... Also had a top-five finish in the shot at the Alex Wilson Invitational (44-6.25)... Season-best in the weight throw also came at the ACC Indoor meet as she finished 7th at 54-11.50 (also 8th all-time at Maryland)... Won the N.Y. Armory Meet (53-8).

BEFORE MARYLAND - Best shot-put student-athlete in high school conference...second-best discus thrower in conference... became all-metro in the shot put with a mark of 44-8 in 2009.

PERSONAL - Daughter of Bryant and Marci Young... has one sibling Morgan, 7... is undecided on major but wants to become an engineer... played on the volleyball and basketball teams in high school... also recruited by Bucknell and Brown.
