Before Maryland - Won the 1,600, 400, and 800 meters at districts while also finishing third in the 200 meters at districts as a senior... Has three Dubois Area High School records, 1600 meters (5:11.92 in 2012), 800 meters (2:18.09 in 2012) and anchored the 4x800 meter school record (9:43.93 in 2010)... Team won district championship all four years... Won the 2011 district championship in her only season running cross country.

Personal- Daughter of Gregory and Karen Sheffo... Has two younger sisters, Monica and Natalie... Father played football at University of Pennsylvania... Taught Sunday school in high school... Graduated summa cum laude... Was an AP Scholar and recognized by the National Merit Scholar... Enjoys playing the piano in her spare time... Chose Maryland because of the great journalism school.
