POSITION TITLE: Assistant Director of Athletics/Executive Director of the Terrapin Club (Annual Fund)

DEPARTMENT: Intercollegiate Athletics

CATEGORY: Full-time, Contingent Category II (Exempt)

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Executive Director of the Terrapin Club oversees the identification and solicitation of prospects to increase membership in the Terrapin Club and facilitates annual, charitable contributions from individuals and corporations to achieve annual fund goals. The Terrapin Club currently has 7,800 members whose donations provide approximately $7 million annually toward the cost of athletic scholarships for 27 varsity sports. Specific responsibilities include: managing a full-time staff of four and a budget of $800,000; overseeing annual fund administration, including revenue and expenditure budget and goals; directing staff to provide customer service support for Terrapin Club members; coordinating and recommending donor benefits, including ticket allocation, travel, and parking for football and men's basketball; facilitating the efforts of regional volunteers and the Terrapin Club Managing Board, directing the allocations of resources and manpower in consort with departmental goals and objectives; and performing other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required. Must have 5-7 years of successful fundraising or related experience, preferably in a collegiate athletics development office or other non-profit fundraising-related environment. Previous supervisory and annual fundraising experience required. Must have strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to clearly and concisely present information to a diverse group of potential and current donors, volunteers, and campus employees in writing or verbally is essential.

SALARY: Commensurate with experience. Competitive nationally.
