"Train with the Terps" To Take Place Saturday

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland Athletics Department has partnered with UnitedHealthcare to host "Train with the Terps" on Saturday, Jan. 5 from 9:30-11 a.m. in Comcast Center Pavilion.
A group of 125 children from the Prince George's County public schools will "Train with the Terps" in a program designed to encourage physical activity and healthy living.
"Train with the Terps" will feature student-athletes, coaches and team doctors from Maryland Athletics who will teach movement-based exercises that children will be able to incorporate into their daily lives, as well as healthy nutrition tips.
"We are excited to partner with UnitedHealthcare to educate children about the important role of physical activity and better food choices in living longer, healthier lives," said Kevin Anderson, director of athletics. "We also look forward to our young guests having the opportunity to enjoy a fun and entertaining afternoon of Maryland basketball at Comcast Center."
After the "Train with the Terps" program, Maryland Athletics will provide complimentary admission for all participants to attend the Terps' men's basketball ACC season opener against Virginia Tech.
