Smith Stadium is currently undergoing renovations to the field and
backstop behind home plate. The 2011 Terps will be playing on a brand
new infield turf, and a new brick backstop will also be constructed.
This past weekend, the baseball team held the 2010 Red vs. Black Super Regional - a three-game intrasquad scrimmage. It was the first chance to see Maryland's 22 newcomers and 13 returning players from last season's team compete, but what some might have missed was the Terps taking batting practice early Sunday morning in Halloween costumes.
