This past week was an exciting week for our team. For starters, at the beginning of every practice the team had a gift hidden in the gym from there Secret Santa. This team is such a creative bunch when it comes to giving gifts. On Wednesday, we have our holiday party where we get to finally see who our Secret Santa is. It's always a fun time getting to spend time with the team and this will be the last time we see each other all together until they come back from Christmas Break. With that being said, Tuesday is the last day of classes for the semester so the girls have a busy week and half ahead of them with studying and taking finals.

This past Friday, we had our Red vs. Black Intrasquad. We had "celebrity judges" and "celebrity coaches" which made the night so much fun. The celebrity judges were Maryland athletes from other sports teams. The "celebrity coaches" were for the Black Team, Christie Landry assistant coach from volleyball and for the Red Team, Amber Jackson the assistant coach from softball. The Red team won by a few tenths, but both teams were strong as can be the whole way through.  Let me tell you, this team is so hardworking, dedicated and focused on their goals! As a team, we hit 27 out of 28 routines. For an intrasquad at the beginning of the year, that is pretty amazing. I am so excited to see what this year brings. These girls are a special group!
