Hey Terp Fans!!
What a great week it has been! For starters, it was our LAST week of bootcamp!!! We pushed harder than ever this last week, and had tons of fun with it too!
Sunday was our Red vs. Black “Sunday Runday”, where we split up into two teams and had relay circuits, reverse Indian runs, and of course, tug or war!!! I must say, it was a close race the whole way through, and everyone pushed above and beyond to win! Since it was family weekend, I was lucky enough to have my family come visit me! We went to the football game, out to dinner, and they even got to watch our last “Sunday Runday!”
Then, starting on Monday, we had our choreographer Russell here for our new floor routines!! A big shout out to JJ for doing an AMAZING job with everyone’s floor music and Russell for all of his hard work in creating our new FABULOUS routines! To end the week, we had our last zumba class on Friday! When I tell you that we saved the best for last, I really mean it! Our new instructor was so vigorous that we did not want it to end!! The music was awesome and the dances were a blast!!
Overall, I am proud to say that we all successfully survived phase one of this year’s season! Now that bootcamp is finally over, we are beginning phase two, the most important preparation time for competition season. With less than a month away from our first Red vs. Black Intrasquad, we are ready and excited to practice full routines on every event starting this week! Our bodies are finally able to rest and recover from the extra conditioning of bootcamp, so we will be even stronger and more energetic than ever before! We have a big week ahead of us, but I know that we will conquer it together!!
Ultimately, it was a GREAT weekend for Maryland athletics! Terps football beat UVA on Saturday, 27-20, men’s soccer beat Duke to remain the No. 1 team in the nation, and our men’s and women’s basketball team celebrated the start of their season with Maryland Madness! Terps are looking really strong overall! It is such a blessing and an honor to be a part of the Terp Family!
Thanks for reading my Tumble Talk! Have a great week! GO TERPS!!!
Love,
Stephy G :)
