Terrapins Maxine Fluharty, Katie Gerzabek and Ali McEvoy are all in Guadalajara, Mexico competing for the U.S. Under-21 Team in the Junior Pan American Games. The trio and Team USA will take on Argentina Thursday at 9 p.m. ET. Team USA went 3-1 in pool play. Its only loss was a 2-1 decision to Chile. The Americans outscored opponents 26-3 in the four games.
Fluharty and Gerzabek traveled to Mexico on Sept. 8. McEvoy left on Sept. 16.
The U.S. finished second in Pool B. The gold medal and bronze medal matches will be played Saturday. The top three teams will earn a bid to the Junior World Cup next summer.
