It's rare for a football team to be as stocked at tight end as Maryland finds itself entering the 2012 season.
This week's edition of Meet the Terps catches up with Kendall Dusenberry, a transfer from Purdue University.
Maryland volleyball fans, we are only four days away from the season opener against Villanova. With that in mind, we continue the Fresh Faces series this week with Emily Fraik. Fraik was a 2012 OHSVCA Division II All-Ohio First Team member and was named to the 2011-12 Under Armour Honorable Mention All-America team.
When a team loses a running back that ranks in the top 10 on the school's career rushing attempts, yards, and yards-per-carry lists, it's natural for questions to arise about who will fill the void.
Mackenzie Dagostino is the latest Terp to join the Fresh Faces seriest. Dagostino was named to the 2011-12 Under Armour All-America second team and recipient of the prestigious Andi Collins award, which is given to the nation's top prep senior setter. The Tampa, Fla., native led Berkeley Prep to the Florida state championship the past three seasons.
This week's edition of Meet the Terps catches up with rising sophomore Jessica Uem.
As I continue to introduce the newest members of the Terrapin volleyball team as the season nears it start, Amy Dion is the center of this week's installment. Dion was a two-time AAU All-American with her club team, Sky High. The native of Algonquin, Ill., helped Sky High capture two AAU national titles in 2010 and 2011.
Sarunas was a big-time player for the Terps that helped lead them to four NCAA Tournament appearances and two Sweet Sixteens. On Jan. 26, 1997, he helped No. 7 Maryland beat No. 10 Duke 74-70 with this shot. Any Terp fans remember this? Click share below to tell us!
Valmon won gold medals in the men's 4 X 400m relay in the 1988 and 1992 Olympic games, along with Quincy Watts, Michael Johnson and Steve Lewis. The quad set a world record time of 2:55.74 in this race.
That record stood until Valmon, Watts, Johnson and Butch Reynolds broke it with a time of 2:54.29 at the1993 World Championships in Stuttgurt, Germany. That record still stands.
Former Terrapin Ekene

The Lithuanian national team has won three Olympic bronze medals in the 1992, 1996 and 2000 games. Jasikevicius was on the team that took bronze in 2000. He averaged 14.0 points and 5.1 assists, and scored a tournament-high 27 points, in a semifinals lost to the U.S.
