FB_Blog_Header.jpg The Terps kick off the final week of the spring Tuesday when they hit the field for practice No. 13.

Maryland held its second scrimmage of the spring last Saturday.

Head coach Randy Edsall singled out the play of tailbacks Justus Pickett and Brandon Ross in the two-hour workout.

"I've really been impressed with Justus this spring," Edsall said Monday. "He's more decisive making cuts and has done an outstanding job of pass protection."

Edsall continued to sing the praises of Dexter McDougle who "has been very, very solid" and Demetrius Hartsfield who is being "much more aggressive" this spring.

Andre Monroe, Justin Anderson, Quinton Jefferson and Isaiah Ross continue to compete for time at defensive end.

"Those four ends have gotten a lot of work and you can see them getting better," Edsall said.

The Red-White game is one week earlier this year so the Maryland coaching staff can get on the recruiting trail earlier for the spring evaluation period which starts this week.

Edsall broke down this week's schedule and spring recruiting on this video.

Members of the Maryland Gridiron Network (MGN), the Terps' football booster organization, were treated to an All-Access weekend around Saturday's scrimmage. Click here to view the highlight video which recaps the two-day event.

Edsall updated the injury situation Monday and discussed the format for Saturday's spring game which will feature a scoring system for the offense and defense.

He is hopeful that Kerry Boykins can return to practice this week from his concussion and indicated Joe Vellano is expected to be fully recovered from his foot injury by July.
