Alex Aust catches fire, Terps and the HOF, and a strong defensive showing headline this week's blog!
The biggest contributor to Maryland's offensive success in last Sunday's win over No. 12 Miami came from an unexpected source.
Week two of "The Stretch" is here and that means there is a
lot to get to this week, starting with why Saturday's Maryland-Virginia isn't
really a true rematch. We will look at the Cavaliers and the ACC implications
of the game. We also have a complete list
of promotions for this week's game, as well as a look back at last week's UNC
game. There's also the announcement of a Terrapin "Doc" that could make a house
call at the Hall of Fame. So, lets get to it.
Hey Terp Fans!
We've had such an exciting few days. Just this past weekend, we competed at the EAGL Championships hosted by the University of Pittsburgh.
With the recent reemergence of the attack, Maryland's sturdy defense has been flying under the radar lately. This week's blog gives some love to the Terp defense.

This is the week every year that things get really
interesting for the Terps. This is the week that the annual four-week stretch
begins that goes a long way toward determining Maryland's fate in May. This is
the week where questions get asked and start to get answered. We'll begin
things here with a closer look at "The Stretch" and a closer look at
this week's opponent - UNC. Then we'll also take a look back at last week's
game vs. Villanova and finish up with a terrific story about a true Terp
Ambassador.
Hey Terp Fans!
After having a busy week of school filled with a few exams for all of us, spring break is finally here! While most students here at Maryland have headed home or gone on tropical vacations, the Terps are excited to soak up the College Park sun!
The final day of the 2012 NCAA Championships brings my final mid-day update from St. Louis and the Scottrade Center. The Terps closed out the tournament Saturday morning with seventh-seeded Josh Asper wrestling for a spot on the medal stand.
The third session of the 2012 NCAA Championships wrapped up a short time ago and the Terps have two wrestlers still alive including one who is now a two-time All-American. Guess who?
The opening session of the 2012 NCAA Championships is in the books and seventh-seeded Josh Asper (165) and 12th-seeded Jimmy Sheptock (174) advanced to the round of 16 which will be held tonight at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Mo.
While the defense continues its steady play, Maryland's offense got its swagger back Tuesday against Richmond.

The Blog was off last week with the Tuesday game, so there's
a lot to get to this week. We'll rewind the Marist, UMBC and Duke games with an
interesting look at two other midweek night games from the past eight seasons. Several
Terps had some firsts during the past three games and there's also a past-meets-present
moment captured for all to see. But first we're going to preview this Saturday's
big top 10 matchup with Villanova.
Hey Terp Fans!
It's been a great week in College Park in-and-out of the gym. Everyone has been enjoying the beautiful spring weather, and looking better than ever at practice! After posting a season-high team score last weekend in New Hampshire, we got back to training hard and getting ready to take on Penn and Bridgeport this weekend.
The Maryland wrestling team earned its record 24th ACC Championship and fourth in five seasons after defeating Virginia and Virginia Tech on Saturday at Carmichael Arena. The Terrapins dominated the upper weights and crowned four champions: Kyle John (157), Jimmy Sheptock (174), Christian Boley (197), and Spencer Myers (285). We caught up with them this week and this is what they had to say.
Hey Terp Fans!
This week was a busy and exciting week for the Terps. With flying all the way across the country last week to sunny California, then traveling once again to a nice snowy New Hampshire, the Terps have definitely been on the move.
