Hey Terp Fans!
Happy November! It has been another exciting week here in College Park with practice, schoolwork, and even community service!
After our Halloween themed lift, we headed straight to a local middle school to do some volunteering (in the Halloween spirit of course!). Each year the school sets up a haunted house, complete with fog machines, scary cobwebs, mummies, and much more as incentive for students to excel in the classroom. So, our job was to help decorate, and then, the even more fun part, scare kids! We hung spiders and bats from the ceiling, arranged a graveyard scene, and then finally put on our masks and got to scaring! We were happy to help out, and we had a lot of fun too!
Now, as October is officially over, we are gearing up for our closed-door intersquad meet right before Thanksgiving! Week by week we have been putting together routines, and now we just need to perfect them. It's so exciting to look around the gym these days and see the team really come together. We have one full week left of regular practice, and then it's time to show the judges what we've got... I know we'll be ready! The question is will the judges be ready for us?
Another way we have been getting ready for meet season is through team goals. We sat down together on Wednesday and compiled a list of things we want to accomplish this gymnastics season. With these as our motivation, there is nothing that can stand in our way this year!
Thanks for reading and tune in next week!
