Hello there Terps fans!

I hope this Tumble Talk finds everyone doing splendidly, because I know the team is doing quite awesome.

We just finished our last week of boot camp, and the team is looking great. We have been working extremely hard in the gym and it is really paying off. Routines are starting to come together, and we are seeing some big things from all of the girls. Just to give a sneak preview of what is to come, we have Emily Heller and Dani Kram showing some huge E passes on floor, very exciting! As a whole, bars and beam are looking solid, and consistently we are seeing explosive vaults. I could not be more proud of this team and how everyone is working each day. Now, not only was this our last week of boot camp, but it was also homecoming weekend. It was awesome to have the alumni come out and be with the team again. I only got to have a short visit with some of the girls because it was off to California for me.

Three years in a row now I have flown home to participate in a walk for ALS. My aunt was diagnosed with ALS during my senior year of high school, and since then we have been trying to raise awareness and take part in these walks. It was a wonderful weekend to be able to spend time with my entire family. I have quite a lot of cousins, so it was a very fun filled weekend with food and reminiscing. It is also always nice to be back in the California sunshine. My family is also very excited to have the team come out and compete against San Jose State this coming season. My aunt lives right next to San Jose and it will be the first time for a lot of my family to see me compete since high school. It will also be a lot of fun for Kyra Phillips, Jessie Black and I to be competing in our home state.

I hope you all enjoyed this week's tumble talk! Have a fabulous rest of your week! -Ally
