Hey Terps Fans!

Wow, I cannot believe yet another week has gone by. It is most definitely true that time goes even faster the older that you get. I cannot believe that it is my senior year already, but I am soaking it all up and enjoying every single minute of it.

This past weekend was recruiting weekend! Now one of the best parts of recruiting weekend is getting to be treated to Cheesecake Factory in the Baltimore Harbor, oh yeah, and of course getting to spend quality time with the new incoming recruits (he he). Recruiting weekend is always one of my favorite events of the year because it is filled with so many exciting events and bright-eyed recruits on their official visits. Some of the activities that we did this weekend were, go to the Cheesecake Factory, attend the football game, host a pajama party, and go to Atlanta Bread for breakfast. So, let me give you a little tour of this amazing weekend!

The recruits and their parents arrived Friday morning, were given a tour of the campus, and sat in some meetings with some of the educational folks on campus. After that they came and watched some practice, and a few were lucky enough to see our Zumba workout! After Zumba, we all scurried to get ready for Cheesecake Factory and be at the buses in less than an hour. While on the brand spanking new incredible busses, the coaches surprised us with some more new gear. We received two rocking sweatshirts (one was a hoodie and the other was not), and a matching pair of sweatpants for the hooded sweatshirts. Thank you coaches!!!! As tradition that was started my freshman year, I always tell the waiter that it is someone's birthday. A staff member who is new to the team is the one who is usually pranked! Last year it was JJ and this year it was going to be our trainer Julie, but someone (cough cough JJ) ruined it thinking that it was going to be him again. Although it was a slight disappointment, everyone had a great time and we ate our hearts out, stuffed to the max when we left!

The next day we met up for a tailgate at Comcast before heading to the football game and ate some yummy food! When we got to the football game, recruits and their parents along with the hosts of the recruits were given a pass to go on the field and watch the players warm up! Although the football game did not end in our favor we still had a blast! Later that night we hosted a pajama party where breakfast was served for dinner! The meal consisted of bacon, waffles, pancakes, fruit, coffee cake, eggs, and hot chocolate and apple cider...yummy!!! I want to send a special shout out and thank you to Kesley Cofsky and Ally Krikorian for hosting and preparing all the amazingly wonderful tasty breakfast food and letting us use their home. After we finished eating, we played a few games of catch phrase and then a little game we came up with ourselves. The upperclassmen came up with things everyone had to do one at a time that you took turns pulling out of a hat. Some of the activities were, saying the ABC's backwards, sending JJ a ridiculous picture, going and knocking on a random persons window and saying "Rapunzel Rapunzel, let down your hair", and prank calling Brett and telling him you broke your pinky toe. Everyone got a good laugh out of the activities and had a blast!

The next morning was sad when we had to say goodbye to all of our wonderful recruits. We met up with the coaches and parents and had a tasty breakfast at Atlanta Bread! There was also some wonderful news that was given at breakfast, that the Terps would be welcoming a new Terp to the family next year as one of them verbally committed! The Terps family could not be more thrilled to have her apart of the team! Needless to say, this was one of the best recruiting weekends I have experience in my four years as a Terp! To top it all off there is no boot camp this week! We are ready to push it to the limit in the gym and to be honest, I don't know if you all are ready for what these Terps have up their sleeve when they are feeling good and ready to go!

Thanks for reading!
