Hey Terps Fans!
What an incredible season we have had! This team is one of the most dedicated and hard working that I have ever had the privilege of working with. Their relentless commitment to excellence is truly what has allowed these Terps to be so successful this year. We were able to make school history by being the first team to record a perfect 8-0 record in regular season competition amongst EAGL conference opponents. The Terps went on to finish 3rd at the championships, just 0.275 away from winning the whole thing! Our talented Terps even took home first place honors on Vault, Balance Beam, and the All-Around! This was one of the closest and most exciting EAGL competitions in years!
Now that conference championships are over, the Terps are back in the gym and focused on our upcoming regional competition. We were selected as a 5 seed to the Southeast NCAA Regional site hosted by the University of Georgia. We can wait to get down there and show the nation what Terps pride is all about! I think the Terps are excited about seeing some nice warm weather too!
This week is spring break here at Maryland and the team is enjoying a well-deserved break from schoolwork. On Tuesday, we made a trip to one of our favorite local elementary schools to read to the kids and put on a small gymnastics performance for the kindergarteners, and 1st and 2nd graders! They were all so excited to see us and we love seeing the smiles on their faces!
I want to send a very big THANK YOU out to everyone in TERPS NATION that has followed and supported us all year, we couldn't have done it without you! This season we have set records with home and away meet attendance and had the biggest cheering section at EAGL championships. We also have more and more people following us on twitter, as well as reading our Terps Tumble Talk and watching Gym Terps TV. Spread the word..... TERPS NATION is on the rise!!!
