Hey Terp fans!
We just competed in our fourth meet of the season at Michigan. We made our first and only airplane trip. It was a lot of fun going to the airport all together and flying as a team. It was very exciting especially for us freshman!
We competed against Kent State, Illinois-Chicago, and Michigan. The arena was filled with people and was very loud. We finished in third place and hit 23 for 24 routines! Keep it up Terps!
On the way home from every away trip, we play a game with a room key from the hotel we stayed at. We mark the official game card with a sharpie so we all know which key is the real key in play. One person starts the game by secretly placing this card in someone else's bag. This person has now been "carded" and once they realize they have this card, they secretly pass it on to the next person. The object of the game is to not end up with the card. You have to be very sneaky and always looking out for everyone around you. We always have a good time playing this game, and can't wait for the next away trip to continue playing.
The practices we had the week before the meet were great. We had awesome "team events" during practices. We treat these like we are in a meet and do time warm-up and compete in the competition order. We rocked all four events, which made our confidence go up and prepared us for the meet.
Outside of the gym, everyone is working on schoolwork. It is the second week of our second semester and we are working to fulfill one of our goals which is to win the "President's Cup." This award is for the team with the highest GPA at the end of the spring and fall semesters. We can do it!
Our next meet in on Saturday the 5th at the University of North Carolina. GO TERPS!
