Hey Terp Fans!
We are so excited to finally be back home! We have been on the road for the last three weekends in a row and this weekend we were back home against Penn State, Rutgers, and William and Mary. We switched up some things in the gym last week and did not do team events. We practiced perfecting our skills and using the time we had in the gym to focus on our consistency. It really seemed to help on Friday night! We put up our season-high score of a 195.300 and had some real exciting performances!
We started off the meet strong on vault earning a 49.15 with Katy's huge 9.9 and continued to keep our score high as Abbey put up a 9.85 on both bars and beam. We had some strong, confident performances on beam from Lizzy and Kesley, and finished out the night with a bang on floor with Abbey's 9.925.
As a team we seem to be progressing each meet and really starting to settle into our comfort zones. We are so excited for the last four meets before post season and ready to show everyone what were made of!
This team has been through several ups and several
downs this year. We have overcome adversity and setbacks that have
brought us together as one. We have created a bond on this team that is
incredible.
Each meet, we focus on our passion and our love for the sport because at the end of the day that is what is most important. We lean on each other through thick and thin and we are a family! No matter where this season takes us, we have something so special on this team that is indescribable!
