Running back Da'Rel Scott has accepted an invitation to play in the 2011 East-West Shine game which will be played on Jan. 22 at the Florida Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Fla. (4 p.m. EST on the NFL Network).
Scott ranks eighth on the Maryland career rushing
chart (2,201) and is one of four players in school history to post
2,000 career rushing yards and 500 receiving yards (also
LaMont Jordan, Rick Badjanek and Alvin Blount).
The senior is sixth in school history in yards-per-carry (5.28) and ranks ninth in career all-purpose yards (3,309).
