Edwin Williams' five-year Terrapin career ended in 2008 and after a solid rookie campaign with the Washington Redskins, the second-year pro may have found a home with the Chicago Bears.
Williams has started the last two games for the Bears after being elevated from the practice squad last month.
The Redskins released Williams on Aug. 30 and he was scooped up by the Bears the next day.
The versatile Williams, a two-year starter at center while at Maryland, has played right guard and helped improve the Bears' running game.
One of the more popular players during his tenure in College Park, Williams persevered through some tough times as a child.
