Maryland-Miami Game Time Announced

FB_Blog_Header.jpgThe Atlantic Coast Conference announced Sunday afternoon that Saturday's Maryland-Miami game will kick off at noon EDT from Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla.

The game will be telecast nationally on ESPNU.

Maryland Leads Wake Forest, 27-7, at Half

FB_Blog_Header.jpgMaryland's special teams has been a strength most of the season and it was demonstrated again in the first half of the Wake Forest game.

The Terps lead, 27-7, due in great part to a pair of blocked punts by the Terps. Danny O'Brien tossed three touchdown passes and the Davin Meggett-Da'Rel Scott duo has combined to rush for 107 yards on 20 carries.

Terps Gear Up for Homecoming Game

FB_Blog_Header.jpgThe Maryland Terrapins will look to become bowl eligible for the seventh time in head coach Ralph Friedgen's 10 seasons at Saturday's annual Homecoming contest.

In order to accomplish that goal, the Terps (5-2, 2-1 ACC) will need to get past a refreshed Wake Forest (2-5, 1-3) squad which is coming off a bye.

Asper, Letts Ranked in Intermat's Top-20

Maryland-Miami Game Time Announcement Sunday

FB_Blog_Header.jpgThe Atlantic Coast Conference announced Monday that ESPN/ABC has declared a six-day option for four games on Saturday, Nov. 6, including Maryland's contest at Miami.

Kickoff time will be announced Sunday. However, the game will start at either noon or 3:30 p.m. EDT and be shown on ABC, the ACC Network or ESPNU.

Terps Ahead, 21-7, Over BC at the Half

DeSouza Update

DeSouza, a redshirt freshman offensive lineman, suffered non-life threatening injuries - fractures in both lower legs (technical term - open reduction internal fixation of both the left and right tibia and fibula).

Terrapin Club Member Hits Milestone

The Maryland-BC contest will be the 400th-consecutive Terps football game attended by Bob Baker. He began the string in 1976.

DeSouza Injured in Accident, Expected to Recover

DeSouza, a redshirt freshman offensive lineman, suffered non-life threatening injuries - fractures in both lower legs. He was having surgery Friday morning and is expected to remain in the hospital throughout the weekend.

The Terps scored their touchdown on a trick play, with running back Da'Rel Scott throwing to quarterback Danny O'Brien for a 5-yard TD.

The team hit the field at the on-campus facility Thursday for about 90 minutes, missing most of the heavy afternoon showers which hit the College Park region.

After a restful week off of bootcamp, we were able to really amp up the energy in the gym this week! Things are starting coming together...we're putting together half routines on bars, nailing big vaults onto stacked mats, and hitting tumbling passes in endurance sets on floor. Watch out for Maryland gymnastics this year!

Terps Scale Back During the Bye Week

Head coach Ralph Friedgen has reduced the practice schedule, though the team hit the field Wednesday and will do so again Thursday afternoon. After that, the team will be off until Monday's practice.

Friedgen updated the media on the status of TE Dave Stinebaugh, who was injured in Saturday's Duke game.

"If it's not operated on, (the medical staff) thinks he'll be out four to six weeks," Friedgen said.
