FB_Blog_Header.jpg Maryland leads Navy 14-7 at halftime, powered by 177 yards rushing including a career-long 67-yard dash by Davin Meggett that set up a touchdown.

The Terps raced out to a 14-0 lead by scoring on their first two drives.

Maryland's first drive went eight plays for 59 yards, lasting 4:27 and resulting in a touchdown. The Terps rushed on all eight plays, with Da'Rel Scott and Jamarr Robinson leading the way. Scott had five rushes for 36 yards including a five-yard touchdown run while Robinson rushed twice for 18 yards.

After Navy missed a field goal, the Terps got the ball on their own 20 yardline. On the first play of the drive Meggett broke through a hole for a 67-yard run and later finished off the drive with a three-yard touchdown run.

The Midshipmen made it 14-7 early in the second quarter after a nine play, 64-yard drive capped off by a 10-yard TD run by Andre Byrd.

Maryland was able to keep the lead with two goal-line stands. With Navy at the Maryland one yardline halfway through the second quarter, Adrian Moten forced a fumble that Antwine Perez recovered to preserve the lead.

After a Maryland punt, Navy again threatened to score towards the end of the half, but the Terps stopped the Midshipmen at the two yardline and time expired.

Meggett finished the half with 77 yards rushing, Robinson had 54 and Scott had 46. Navy was led by Vince Murray, who had 66 yards on 10 carries. Combined, the teams attempted just five passes.
