| No Comments | No TrackBacks
At the end of the 2009 season, Maryland ranked third among ACC teams in most number of alums playing in the NFL.

The Terps had 31 players active in the NFL at the end of last season.

At the beginning of the preseason camps (most opened last week), Maryland had 36 players on NFL rosters, which again ranked third among ACC teams.

Bruce Campbell (fourth round - Oakland) and Nolan Carroll (fifth round - Miami) were selected in the 2010 NFL Draft, while Phil Costa (Dallas), Travis Ivey (Miami) and Terrell Skinner (Minnesota) signed as free agents (note: Cory Jackson signed with San Diego after the draft but was later released).

Miami leads all ACC teams with 54 players on NFL rosters, while the Terps trail Florida State (37) by just one. Virginia Tech (32) and North Carolina (29) round out the top five.
