Not many teams can replicate Notre Dame's Scott Rodgers in practice when preparing to play the Irish. Not many teams have a goalie that can match, or even come close, to Rodgers' 6-foot-4, 254-pound size. Even if a team does have a goalie close to Rodgers' size, it's doubtful that guy is left-handed, like Rodgers.Thankfully, the Terps have a goalie that is not only left-handed, but at 6-foot-3, 215-pounds, he is close to Rodgers' size - redshirt freshman MJ Leonard. Throughout this week Leonard donned football shoulder pads to provide a little extra size as the scout team goalie.
