As expected, fullback Taylor Watson will miss the remainder of the spring.
Watson injured his right knee during a non-contact drill at the beginning of Thursday's practice, the second of the spring. An MRI on Friday indicated a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
He is expected to be out of action for six months.

He is expected to be out of action for six months. A junior this coming fall, Watson hopes to return sometime in September.
He played in all 12 games last season as the primary backup to Cory Jackson. Watson was also a regular on special teams.
"We have some players there, but Taylor paid his dues," head coach Ralph Friedgen said after Thursday's practice. "He played a lot last year. He's a pretty good runner and we were planning on doing a little bit more of that with him. He also catches the ball pretty well."
Junior Haroon Brown, who redshirted last season, now moves to the top of the depth chart.
"Haroon has all the ability in the world," Friedgen said. "The biggest issue with Haroon is consistency. If he can put it together day in and day out, he can be a productive player."
Louis Berman and Paul Lariviere will serve as the primary backups.
