STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - Senior Jill Witmer scored twice and Sarah Sprink and Ali McEvoy each scored as well en route to a 4-1 Maryland win in an exhibition at Penn State Friday.

Witmer gave the Terps the early lead just 3:23 in when she knocked one in from the right side. Maryland held on to its one-goal lead through halftime.

Witmer made it  a 2-0 lead less than two minutes into the second period when she tipped in Emma Rissinger's rebounded shot.

Sprink added her goal with just under 15 minutes to play off another rebound on a penalty corner, then the Nittany Lions' Jenna Chrismer cut it to 3-1 in the 63rd minute. McEvoy converted a penalty stroke in the final minute to finalize the score.

The Terps will hold their annual Red/White scrimmage Sunday at noon at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex. All fans are welcome and parking and admission are free.
