Sean Bosdosh shot a one-under par 71 on Sunday at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate to finish in a tie for 17th in the men's golf team's season-opening tournament.
Playing 36 holes on Saturday, Bosdosh shot a 74-73 and was in a tie for 35th after the first day. His 71 on Sunday vaulted him 18 spots in the standings and helped Maryland finish in 12th place overall.
Freshman Tom Harris, playing in his first collegiate tournament, earned a top-30 finish by shooting 221 (73-75-73) to tie for 27th place. Senior Stephen Bosdosh followed Harris with a 226 (75-75-76) and in a tie for 52nd.
Sophomore Jordan Sweet (79-74-79, 232) and freshman Andrew McCain (77-76-81, 234) finished t-67th and t-73rd, respectively.
North Carolina State's Albin Choi shot an 11-under 205 (66-71-68) to win the individual championship. Duke captured the team title with an 8-under 856 (285-282-289).
The Terps are next in action on Sept. 24-25 at the VCU Shootout in Manakin-Sabot, Va.
