• Maryland improved to 6-0 all-time against George Mason and 3-0 all-time against the Patriots in College Park.
• The Terrapin defense held the Patriots to a season-best 40 points. Maryland's previous best came against Loyola (45).
• The Terps improved to 94-5 all-time in non-conference games in Comcast Center.

• The Terps came out strong defensively and forced eight George Mason turnovers along with holding the Patriots scoreless for the opening 7:27.
• Maryland forced 23 George Mason turnovers, a season high.
• For the eighth time this season, Maryland outrebounded its opponent. The Terps grabbed 50 rebounds compared to the Patriots' 24 rebounds.
• Maryland controlled the paint outscoring the Patriots 48-16. The Terps have outscored their opponents in the paint this season by a 343-176 margin.
• The Terps continued to receive solid production off of the bench. Maryland's bench outscored George Mason's bench 26-18, and on the season the Terrapins have outscored their opponents 157-133.
• For the first time this season, five different players scored in double figures (Hawkins 27, Howard 11, Pfirman 11, Thomas 11, and DeVaughn 10).

Individual Game Notes
Alyssa Thomas recorded her first career triple-double and the second triple-double in Maryland history with 11 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists. Marissa Coleman is the only other Terp to record a triple-double. Coleman scored 15 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, and dished out 10 assists against UC Santa Barbara on Dec. 2, 2006.
• For the seventh time in eight games, Tianna Hawkins scored in double figures with game-high 27 points. It is her second-highest point total of the season and the fifth time this season she has led the team in scoring or tied for the team lead in scoring.
Alicia DeVaughn scored in double figures for the fourth time this season and 15th time of career. DeVaughn finished with 10 points.

Sequoia Austin finished with a season-high eight points, three shy of her career best, and made a career-high two 3-pointers.
