COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Ahead of Maryland’s home opener against Towson, Terps After Dark presented ‘Kickoff at Cole’, a pep rally for students at the brand new Cole Field House.

Students were able to get their first glimpse inside Cole Field House and hear from head football coach DJ Durkin.

“Grab as many friends as you can and come check this team out tomorrow,” Durkin said when he addressed the crowd. “We had a great game last weekend and we’re building something special here. The student section makes a major difference in college football. You guys can help our team. We want to make Maryland Stadium a place where it’s hard for opponents to play. We need you to be loud and support our team!”

Students also jousted against Testudo, raced their friends in an inflatable obstacle course, tested their football skills with a quarterback and punt return challenge and received Maryland Football giveaways.

Maryland will open its home schedule Saturday against Towson. Kickoff is set for noon and the game will be broadcasted on the Big Ten Network.
