COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland head volleyball coach Adam Hughes has announced that ground has officially been broken on the program’s new team suite in the XFINITY Center Pavilion, adjacent to the team’s home arena.
"Everyone here at Maryland Volleyball is excited that our locker room project has officially broken ground,” Hughes said. “The team suite will directly benefit our student-athletes as we continue to move our program forward. We have some lofty goals and the team suite project will play an important role in attaining those goals. The future of Maryland Volleyball is bright."
The relocation project will feature an entry way, a team lounge and a locker room area. It will be equipped with the latest technology to help the student-athletes perform at a high level both on the court and in the classroom.

The foyer will provide student-athletes will direct entrance from the Pavilion into the locker room. It will feature digital video boards and a glass Under Armour showcast to display our incomparable relationship with the outfitter.
The team lounge will serve as a study hall, meeting space and fueling center for the student-athletes. The team will be able to study video using the latest technology in video analysis. The lounge will be equipped with a computer work area and a nutritional kitchenette.
The Maryland volleyball locker room will be on par with the best of the nation to prepare the student-athletes for practices and matches. The area will feature wood lockers and a state-of-the-art sound system.
