COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- After a two week break, the Maryland women's tennis team will be back in action this weekend as they head to the Naval Academy to take part in the 8th Annual Navy Blue and Gold Invite.

Freshman Zoe Kulkarni and sophomores Katsiaryna Yemelyanenka and Saya Usui will be participating in the event.

The Terps will be joined by Binghamton, George Mason, George Washington, Howard, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Towon and UCONN.

The tournament will take place in Annapolis, Md., with play beginning on Friday and ending on Sunday.

In its first weekend of competition, Maryland played in split-squad action. Juniors Arnelle Sullivan and Millie Stretton traveled to the Columbia Invitational where they won their doubles bracket. Stretton also won the consolation bracket of the "Brooklyn" singles bracket.

Back home in College Park, Kulkarni made her Terrapin debut with a 3-1 singles record at the Bedford Cup.
