COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Maryland’s non-conference finale against UCF, set for Saturday, Sept. 23 at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium, will kick at 3 p.m. and air on FS1, the Big Ten announced on Monday.
Maryland is off to a 2-0 start for the fifth time in the last six years, upending then-No. 23 Texas, 51-41, in Austin to open the season before handling Towson, 63-17, in its home opener this past Saturday.
The Terps, who have scored 50 or more points in their first two games for the first time in school history, boast the nation’s fourth-ranked scoring offense (57.0 ppg). Maryland’s 63 points against the Tigers marked the most points scored in a game by the Terps since 1954.
UCF (1-0) defeated in-state rival FIU, 61-17, to open its season on August 31. The Knight’s game against Memphis this past weekend was cancelled because of the threat of Hurricane Irma. UCF is back in action this Saturday against Georgia Tech.
Maryland took down UCF, 30-24, in a thrilling double overtime game in Orlando last season. Quarterback Tyrrell Pigrome raced 24 yards for the game-winning score in the only all-time meeting between the programs.
