COLLEGE PARK, Md. –The Maryland cross country team will return to competition this Friday, September 29 at the Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pa. This will be the 44th edition of the infamous cross country race, which draws thousands of runners from across the country every year.

The flat winding course around the Murray H. The Terps are set to start at approximately 11:45 am Saturday morning.

a look at the terps

Maryland is two meets into its 2017 campaign, and has not competed since the Salty Dog Invitational on September 9. Junior Emily Bracher had a breakout performance for the Terps at the meet, winning the individual title with a mark of 22:28.45.

Her finish helped power Maryland to a second place overall finish as a team, with three Terrapins finishing inside the top-10. The meet victory was the first of the Freehold, N.J. native’s career.

Junior Alexandra Lucki is set to make her season debut for UMD at the meet after finishing as the No. 1 runner for Maryland at three different meets last year.
