Former Terps to Support Wounded Warrior Campaign

ARLINGTON, Va. – Bishop O’Connell High School in Arlington, Va., will play host to the first-ever Wounded Warrior Amputee Football Team vs. Redskins & NFL Alumni Flag Football Game on Saturday, Nov. 16 at noon. Several former Terps are scheduled to participate including former Terrapin NFLers Stan Gelbaugh, Kevin Glover and Eric Sievers.

Gelbaugh, who will serve as the Wounded Warrior’s quarterback, Glover and Sievers will also be joined by former Terps Andrew Crummey, Jeff Dugan, Trenton Hughes, Adrian Moten, Bruce Perry and Austin Walker.

The game will be hosted by former NFL players LaVar Arrington and Brian Mitchell. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for high school students. Children will be admitted free.

The WWAFT is composed of men and women who lost a limb in their service to this country and will include a number of local WRNMMC athletic veterans.

Raffle prizes include tickets to the Cowboys-Redskins game on Dec. 22, a trip to New York City for the Redskins and Giants game on Dec. 29 (includes travel and theater tickets), and autographed footballs and jerseys from Joe Theismann, Sam Huff, Mark Moseley, Chris Cooley and CC Brown.
