Each week during the 2013-14 season a Maryland student-athlete(s), who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week. This week's Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week is the entire Maryland baseball team.
COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland baseball team’s unprecedented postseason run continued in emphatic fashion this past weekend as it defeated Old Dominion and took two games from South Carolina to sweep the Columbia Regional.
The sizzling Terrapins will appear in their first NCAA Super Regional in program history this weekend as they take on ACC foe Virginia in a three-game series in Charlottesville, Va.

.149 – Opponent batting average against freshman pitcher Mike Shawaryn
.400 – Batting average of sophomore catcher Kevin Martir, who also leads the team in homers (3), slugging (.620) and OBP (.492) during the span
1 – The number of NCAA regional wins in Maryland baseball history prior to last weekend’s three victories in Columbia
5 – Maryland had five players named to the Columbia Regional team led by Most Outstanding Player Charlie White. The team also included Jose Cuas (3B), Kevin Martir (C), Mike Shawaryn (P) and Lamonte Wade (1B)
14 – The Terps are 14-2 over their last six games
28 – South Carolina’s home regional win streak before losing two games to Maryland
