COLLEGE PARK, Md. Head coach Sasho Cirovski has announced the 2014 Maryland men’s soccer signing class, which includes two early enrollees and will be the first to compete for the Terps as a member of the Big Ten Conference.

“I am delighted to welcome our 2014 recruiting class,” head coach Sasho Cirovski, who is entering his 22nd season at Maryland, said. “They are all high-quality players who will have an impact in our program.

“As is the custom with all of our recruits, they are skillful, hardworking on the field and tremendous people off the field.  Both Mael and Jeroen have integrated themselves very well this spring and I have no doubt that George, Jake and Christoffer will do the same in very short order.”

Maryland returns nine starters from a year ago, including ACC All-Freshman Team selections Michael Sauers and Zack Steffen as well as All-ACC First Team pick Dan Metzger and third team honoree Mikey Ambrose. The Terps advanced to a second-straight College Cup in 2013.

“While we lost a lot of attacking talent due to graduation, early departure to the pros and even a few committed kids that signed professionally before they got here, I am extremely confident that the combination of our returnees and newcomers will continue the tradition of playing attractive attacking soccer and contending for championships as is the Maryland Soccer custom," Cirovski said.
