Northwestern Field Hockey Falls to Maryland

EVANSTON, Ill. -- The Northwestern field hockey team fell to Maryland, 2-0, this morning. NU now stands at 0-3 overall, while the Terapins improve to 3-0 on the season.

Maryland scored a goal in each half, including the game-winner by Christine DeBow at the 12:48 mark in the first period. The Wildcats managed just two shots on goal, compared to the Terapins 12 shots.

NU sophomore goalkeeper Jessica Yates tallied nine saves on the day.

The 'Cats continue their nine-game road swing with a game at Miami-Ohio on Fri., Sept. 12 at noon.
