AS A JUNIOR (2016): Appeared in 50 of 52 games, starting all in the outfield...named teams defensive player of the year at team banquet after committing just three errors in 70 attempts...hit at a .252 clip with 36 hits, 24 runs, 14 RBIs and 12 extra-base hits...started out season well, hitting at a .340 clip through 17 games...ranked second on the team in runs scored (24)...recorded first hit of season with a RBI double against San Diego (2/13)...notched at hit in the first four games of the Panther Invitational (2/19-21) including a game-tying 7th inning RBI double against Mercer (2/20)...had a great weekend at the FAU Invitational, going 7-for-15 with six runs scored and three doubles...reached home three times in extra inning win at Florida Atlantic...continued torrent start with a 2-for-4 outing against Georgetown that included a double...picked up RBI singles in each of the next two games of the District Invite (3/5-6)...came throgugh with RBI single against Massachusetts (3/18)...racked up hits and a run scored in each game of three-game set against Nebraska (4/1-3) that included a two-run home run in the series finale...smashed second two run home run in as many weeks against Michigan State (4/10)...went 2-for-4 against Penn State (4/15)...picked up RBI single in first game of doubleheader against Rutgers (4/20)...ended the season strong, going 3-for-8 against Indiana with a two RBI double in the season finale.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2015): Appeared in all 54 games, starting in all but one playing a mix of center-field and shortstop...hit at a .243 clip with a .313 on base percentage...came on in the second half of the year, batting .286 in conference play with a .345 on base percentage...Had a five game surge from 4/5 to 4/17, posting a .533 average...hit 1-for-2 with a double and walk vs. Providence (2/13)...went 1-for-2 with a RBI double against Drexel (2/14)...brought in two runs on a two-out single vs. Northern Iowa (3/1)...knocked two extra base hits including a 2 RBI triple against Lafayette (3/15)...had a career day against Dartmouth (3/25), going 3-5 with three home runs, six RBI's, and four runs...went 3-for-4 in the finale of the Indiana series (4/5) with one RBI...went 2-for-3 vs. Illinois (4/11) including a home run...followed up the next day (4/12) with another 2-for-3 outing...had a go-ahead RBI double in a 1-for-2 night against Penn State (4/17)...went 1-for-2 with a run scored against Rutgers (4/21).

AS A FRESHMAN (2014): Appeared in 40 games, making 39 starts...hit .300 with 17 RBIs, 13 runs and three home runs...hit .340 in ACC play...finished season as Terps' hottest hitter, batting .485 over final 10 games to raise season batting average from .247 to .300...posted two hits in collegiate debut against DePaul (2/7)...went 2-for-3 later that day against FIU (2/7)...knocked in first career run versus Jacksonville (2/8)...hit 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored against South Carolina (2/14)...knocked in two runs vs. Long Beach State (2/20)...posted first collegiate home run against #25 Auburn (3/1), knocking in a pair of runs...went 1-for-2 wih a run scored in game two at #8 Florida State (4/5)...hit second home run of season against Delaware State (4/16)...went 3-for-4 in game two against Virginia Tech (4/19), before posting two hits and a run against the Hokies in game three (4/20)....went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, three runs and a homer in two games against Howard (4/23)...posted two hits and an RBI double in game two against Notre Dame (4/27)....went 3-for-4 with a double in game one against Pitt (5/3)...finished season with a spetacular performance, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one triple and five RBIs.

Before Maryland: Played center field at Vista Murrieta High School...hit .368 as a junior, .342 as a sophomore and .457 as a freshman...named First Team All-League in 2011 and 2012 and Second Team All-League in 2010...named to Redlands All-Tournament Team and Santiago All-Tournament team, Corona Angels, won 2008 national and state titles and was a national runner-up in 2009.

Personal: Kylie Jean Datil...daughter of Tania Datil...has two siblings, Anthony and Grace...will be the first in her family to attend a four-year school for her desired field...fell in love with the campus, the team and the coaching staff...lists sports hero as Derek Jeter...loves being at Maryland because, "I'm in the best major with endless possibilities"...wears the same ribbon and headband every game...advice to young players is to put the work in now so you're ready for the nest level...criminology major...wants to become a federal agent.
