Weinberg, a 2005 graduate of the University of Iowa, was a two-time All-American for the Hawkeyes and carried a save percentage of .793 in her senior year. She led the Hawkeyes in saves in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004.
She was named to the US U-23 team in 2002 and was named to the national team in 2003. In 2006 she played in the World Cup Qualifying tournament in Rome and the World Cup in Madrid. She has 12 international caps in her career. In 2008, Weinberg was an alternate in goal for the US national team.
