College Park, Md. - Senior All-ACC goalkeeper Nikki Resnick stopped 14 Dartmouth shots, but that wasn't enough as the Big Green pulled out a 1-0 win over the Terps Friday afternoon at Chase Field.

"Like we said all week, Dartmouth is a very good team," said Maryland head coach Brian Pensky, "and we knew coming up here and getting a win was going to be a challenge. Unfortunately, we were not quite up for that challenge today."

The game's lone goal came in the 36th minute when Monica Martin sent a pass to Maggie Goldstein into the left side of the Maryland box. Goldstein collected the ball and finished it into the upper right corner of the Terrapin goal.

Resnick was stellar in goal for the Terrapins, tying her career-high in saves. That total also pushed her into sole possession of second place on the school's all-time saves list. The standout from Boca Raton, Fla., now has 259 saves in just two-plus seasons as a Terp. Resnick trails Maryland's all-time saves leader, Cailin Mullens (361 saves), by 102 saves.

Maryland returns home for a Mid-Atlantic Region match against in-state rival Loyola on Tuesday, September 12 at 7:00 p.m. at Ludwig Field.

"We must learn from today's game and take those lessons with us into Tuesday's game with Loyola," said Pensky.
