COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Four Terps scored goals in Maryland's 4-0 victory over Rutgers in the Terrapins' spring debut Friday night at Ludwig Field.
Rising senior Kristen Schmidbauer, rising junior Cory Ryan and rising sophomores Hayley Brock tallied two assists.
"Our girls put together a really good performance tonight," said second-year head coach Jonathan Morgan. "We've been working very hard this spring and were hungry for a game. It was good to see the team perform at such a high level for our first time out.
"As a coaching staff, we walk away impressed with a number of players and excited for our next outing against the Washington Spirit."
Maryland hosts the NWSL's Washington Spirit on Wednesday, April 3 at 7 p.m. at Ludwig Field.
