COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Highlighted by the annual Alumni Game, the University of Maryland Women's Soccer team is proud to celebrate Alumni Weekend on April 26-27.
Since beginning as a club program in 1983 and evolving into a full varsity program in 1987 more than 200 female student-athletes, many of who have gone on to achieve great success in this game as coaches and players, have donned the red and black for the Terps. The program has seen many victories, some disappointing losses, 13 trips to the NCAA tournament, 41 student-athletes named to All-ACC teams, four NSCAA Coaches of the Year, with an overall record of 268-219-50.
Maryland head coach Jonathan Morgan and his staff welcomes all women's soccer alumni to join in this celebration. The festivities kick off with a Founders Celebration, honoring the 1983 alumni on Friday, April 26, 2013, at 7 p.m. at the South Suites Lobby in Comcast Center. All family and friends of Maryland Women's Soccer are invited with tickets costing $35 per person. To purchase tickets or sponsor a table, please contact Lindsay Simpson (firstname.lastname@example.org or 770.713.5377).
The Maryland women's soccer program is looking forward to honoring each member of the Terrapin family who has made a tremendous impact in this game and in this program.
